On 1 January 2025, Fluorchem Corporation completed major administrative changes which include the end of chemical manufacturing operations for commercial sale.
This comes as production recently ended on two major product lines including nylon and solvents.
In our five-year long history of commercial manufacturing, we have provided important industries with our high quality solvent & gas products, helped stop the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic with our bleach and chlorinated cleaning products, supplied clothing manufacturers with our nylon operations, and more!
As we move towards research-focused operations, we thank all our customers who have chosen Fluorchem Corporation products.
As part of our 2030 Horizon Operational Strategy, we are committed to ongoing innovation and the development of next-generation advanced materials and coatings that will shape industries and drive impact worldwide

On 9 December 2024, The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized the latest risk management rules for trichloroethylene (TCE) and perchloroethylene (tetrachloroethylene) (PCE) under the bipartisan 2016 Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
The US EPA states that "TCE and PCE are known to cause liver, kidney, brain and testicular cancer, as well as damage to the kidney, liver and immune system, neurotoxicity, and reproductive toxicity."
At Fluorchem Corporation, we do not believe that there has been enough conclusive evidence to prove PCE is a human carcinogen. IARC ratings classify it as "Group 2A - Probably carcinogenic to humans" and not "Group 1 - Proven carcinogens". We believe in the continued safe use of both TCE and PCE following all appropriate health and safety regulations.
Both Trichloroethylene and Tetrachloroethylene have been produced by Fluorchem Corporation. Tetrachloroethylene was the largest product of the solvent production line at Fluorchem with thousands of liters produced annually.
We have been a supplier of both PCE and TCE to the United States for many years which has been our largest market. As a result of this regulation and subsequent reduced demand, Fluorchem Corporation will end production of PCE and TCE.
On 31 December 2024, Fluorchem Corporation will be terminating all product listings for Trichloroethylene, Tetrachloroethylene and Trichloromethane solvents.
