About Fluorchem Corporation
Fluorchem Corporation is a chemical manufacturer established in 2020 to produce advanced fluorochemical production technologies, particularly for non-stick and friction-reducing coatings. This remains at the core of our operations today.
Our history traces back to 2018–2019, when our precursor research entity developed and refined production methods for nylon 66 polyamide/elastane mechanical blends. This process, known within Fluorchem as the 'A205 Process' was protected as a trade secret, which later became led to the creation of our first commercial product in 2020, Nylon 66/Elastane Polymer.
At our founding in 2020, we launched with two major product lines: nylon 66 and a line of industrial chemicals including sodium hypochlorite, chloroform, tetrachloroethylene, and phthalates. These compounds were not only essential to our internal fluorochemical processes but also formed the foundation of our commercial sales.
Our bleach production line, which was initially developed for use in chloroform and R-22 synthesis for fluoropolymer production, became highly important with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. In response to the urgent need for disinfectants, we quickly adapted and commercialized our bleach and trichlor disinfectants through online platforms like Amazon, serving customers across Canada and the United States during a time when traditional retail access was limited.
In 2021, we launched our first proprietary fluorinated aerosol, Propylene 204, which went on to become the 25th best-selling product in its category on Amazon, which was a major milestone for our fluorochemical manufacturing operations.
The success of our early production lines and earnings from pandemic times allowed us to expand our physical footprint in 2022 with the construction of the B200 Chemical Complex and the B100C Cogeneration Plant, both were completed within the same year to support our growing production and research operations.
In 2023, as part of our internal fluorochemical research operations, we began producing cosmetic chemicals such as dimethicone, acrylates, and phenoxyethanol. These were originally intended as intermediates for internal research into silicone-based water-repellent coatings, we chose to commercialize excess volumes from this program, making them temporarily available for external sale on Amazon and to cosmetics manufacturers.
In 2024, we made a strategic decision to exit our nylon and cosmetic materials production, moving back to our focus on specialty chemicals and cleaners.
In 2025, following the EPA’s ban on tetrachloroethylene and trichloroethylene, we made the strategic decision to discontinue solvent production and shift our focus entirely toward research and development. This marked a major change in our operations, moving away from commercial manufacturing and focusing on the creation of next-generation fluoropolymers, coatings, and surface technologies.
At the same time, a global wave of emerging PFAS regulations presents a once-in-a-generation opportunity. Instead of viewing these changes as a challenge, we recognize this as a unique opportunity to use our expertise to reimagine fluorochemistry. Our R&D efforts are now focused on developing compliant, high-performance alternatives to legacy PFAS materials and ensuring that the industries that rely on them, from aerospace to electronics to textiles, can continue to innovate without compromising safety or environmental responsibility.
Our Approach
At Fluorchem, quality and safety are fundamental. Every product undergoes many intensive laboratory testing protocols before release to ensure it meets both our internal standards and your expectations.
We design our production facilities with automation and safety in mind. Our machine led manufacturing systems eliminate direct human exposure to chemicals, allowing for safer, more efficient operations without the health effects.
The chemical industry plays a key role in global technological progress, and at Fluorchem, we are proud to contribute by developing the materials and innovations that enable convenience through chemistry, and drive industries and the world forward.
