Fluorchem HCFCs
Fluorchem HCFCs
Hydrochlorofluorocarbon-22 (HCFC-22) is a second generation aerosol propellant designed to provide an alternative to highly ozone depleting chlorofluorocarbons, like R-12 (dichlorodifluoromethane). HCFCs were developed in the 1990s to replace CFCs to help reduce ozone depletion. Modern innovations and advancements have allowed for a phase out of HCFCs through the Montreal protocol. Fluorchem ended HCFC-22 production in 2020.
Fluorchem is no longer offering Hydrochlorofluorocarbon-22 in compliance with the Montreal Protocol on Substances That Deplete the Ozone Layer.
